How To Make An Order

Orders can be made via the on-line webshop, or, for Australian customers only, by downloading this PDF Order Form and sending it in together with a cheque or money order.

There are three main stages in the on-line shopping process; browsing for items, maintaining your shopping cart and checking-out. Only at the check-out stage do you need to enter your name and address details, or log-in again if you have previously set up a user account.

Browsing

You can browse through the available items by

  • selecting one or more of the different Categories in the list on the left of the page.
  • clicking on All Products ... to show a list of all items, ten items per page. Use the << Prev, page number or Next >> links to navigate through the pages. With the Sort By drop-down menu, you can re-order the list using other properties, such as cheapest to most expensive, most recent to oldest, and so on.
  • clicking on an item listed in the Bestsellers, Featured, New Products or Specials boxes on the left and right-hand sides of the page.
  • click on [more] in the header for the above boxes to see an extended list.
If you find something you wish to purchase, click on the add to cart red button. This will add one of these items to your shopping cart (you can add more than one if you specify another number in the quantity box).

Shopping Cart

Your shopping cart is a single page list of the items that you have selected to buy.

You can delete items from the shopping cart by ticking the checkbox in the Remove column next to each product, then clicking on the update cart button. update cart is also used with the text box in the Qty column to change the purchase quantity of any product already in the cart.

The continue shopping button will take you back to the product page of the item you added, or to the shop home page so that you can explore more categories and items. For example, at this stage you could also select a gift-wrapping option to send your selection as a birthday present!

You can find out the shipping cost for the products sitting in your cart with the estimate shipping button. If you have not yet logged-in or entered your address details, you need to provide some basic information using the Country, State/Province and Post Code fields (the extra State/Province and Post Code fields are only required for shipping estimates within Australia). The cost estimate includes any packaging materials and a small handling fee.

Once you are happy with your shopping cart, you can finalise your order with the checkout button.

Checkout

There are three main steps in the checkout process
  • entering your name, address and contact details
  • choosing a shipping method from the available list
  • choosing a payment method and confirming your order
Hint: follow the yellow arrows to navigate simply through the checkout process.

Registration/Log-in

For first-time users the Registration section of the page lets you enter your email address (which becomes your login name for followup vists), your name, delivery and/or billing address(es), contact phone numbers and an account password, entered twice for validation.

For returning users, the Log-in section asks for your email address and password. You do not need to enter any address details again.

Some items available on the webshop cannot be shipped outside Australia. These are marked on the product information page with a small icon. The shopping cart will not permit you to checkout if your shipping address is outside of Australia and you have one or more of these products in your cart.

Currently you must register or log-in to complete an order.

Shipping Method

For delivery addresses within Australia, you can select regular Parcel Post, Express Post, Registered Post or Cash On Delivery. Registered Post articles must be signed-for on delivery. Note that the COD payment method will attract an extra fee levied by Australia Post (currently $9.30). This fee is now included in the shopping cart total.

For destinations outside Australia, items are sent via AirMail.

The shipping costs are determined live from the Australia Post eDeliver website. The information provided also includes an estimate of the delivery time for the package within the postal system.

On the Shipping Method page you can also enter any special delivery instructions for your order.

Payment Method

The available payment methods depend on the billing address entered at registration.

For billing addresses within Australia, you can choose from payment by Bank Transfer, Cheque/Money Order, Cash On Delivery (COD) or credit-card payment using Visa, Mastercard or Bankcard.

For non-Australian billing addresses, the only available method of payment is via credit card using Visa or Mastercard via PayPal or PayMate.

Note that orders will not be dispatched until your payment has been confirmed (in the case of cheque or money order this includes waiting for the normal cheque clearance time).

Product prices are normally displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices include Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless you are logged in and have a primary address that is outside of Australia (and are therefore exempt from GST).

You can change the currency displayed to one of US Dollars, UK Pounds, Euros or New Zealand Dollars using the drop-down menu in the currency box at the top of the right-hand column. Prices in currencies other than AUD are intended as approximate guides only. Credit card purchases will be charged in Australian Dollars.

Credit Card Payments

Payments made with a credit card require a couple more simple steps. Credit card payments are processed securely via the Paypal or Paymate payment gateways (you do not need to be registered with Paymate to make a payment).

When you select Paymate and hit the confirm button as the final step on the Payment Method page, a new window will appear. This is step one of a three-step process to enter your credit-card information. Information sent to Paymate is encrypted with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol using a secure web certificate issued by Verisign Inc..

The first Paymate page asks you to copy a set of letters and numbers into a text box. This is a security step to cut down on automatic attacks. You also need to select your home country from the drop-down menu.

The second page confirms your billing address with data already entered at registration. It is important that the billing address is the same as your credit card statement, or Paymate may reject the transaction.

The final page confirms the payment amount and collects your actual credit card details (card-type, card-number, name and expiry date). Please make sure that you acknowledge the final PayMate dialog box "continue" button so that you return to the TorchWorld web site and your order is entered into our system.

Email Confirmation

On successful completion of your order, you will receive confirmation email from the webshop software. If you don't receive this email within a short period of time, please use the Contact Us page to drop us a note.
